Helping each other through the Polar Vortex

With the extreme temperatures and ridiculous amounts of snow Mother Nature has so graciously dumped on us in the Midwest, plows and shovels have been working double time to make life less miserable during the “polar-vortex.” Even with Environmental Management working around the clock to pre-salt, shovel and re-salt, some of us still need some neighborly love. The Benchmark, a Place to Call Home

After graduating from college, my employer offered me an incredible opportunity to travel all over the world for 9 months to learn my company’s products. What an incredible opportunity, right? RIGHT! In less than a year I visited 9 countries and 14 states (I’ll just go ahead and tell you that I grew up and went to college in Alabama, so this absolutely rocked my world)….But there was a catch; they told me that they would relocate me after my 9 months of training were up, and they weren’t able to tell me where I would end up having to move. I decided that despite the unknowns, the opportunity was too awesome to pass up. Continue reading
